[Belated]Reflections on Perseverance

Yesterday I had the day off from work so I already feel like I am one day behind on everything...but in the best possible way right!? Because we are already one day closer to Friday.

Saturday brought the most unexpected and wonderfully warm temperatures...crazy windy...but can't beat 70 degrees in November.

However, on Sunday me and the girls woke up to this:

And the girls looked like this in response:

Snuggle close...its cold out there!
I immediately started thinking...we need to be prepared to persevere through some cold this winter!!

I made it to the store and back in record time...and me and the girls are now as ready as we can ever be:
Actually...can thank Momma Hubbard for this one...she had it shipped to me...my new "sleeping bag" coat:)
Winter sweater + Heated Blanket. Don't mess.
Sad lil Zo that Riley would not share the warmth of the heated blanket;)
How do we look Mom!?!
All of this was just in time because Monday we woke up to the first snow flurries of the season!! I was most likely the only person in MN excited to see snow...and I am sure I will be regretting I ever used the words "excited" and "snow" together in the same sentence in about a month;) But for now...I was very excited:)

How have you persevered lately?

  1. You r dogs look so cute in their coats, I love running in the 20s when it is sunny and not too windy. Not a fan of snow though.

  3. I can't even imagine snow right now! The ice on my windshield this morning was enough to have me wishing that I'd remember to park in the garage.

  4. Oh...I really don't like the cold...My fingers and toes just can't get warm and they go numb on me...so hard to run that way! I love snow...when I am inside sitting by a cozy fore drinking red wine though ;) or hot chocolate with baileys...or...hmmmm!

Love the coat and sweaters...now you just need your drink of choice, lol

  5. How cute are your girls?!
The warm weather this weekend was LOVELY. I didn't want to come inside. When we went to bed last night it was in the 50s. When I woke up, I saw strange white stuff on the trees. We got about an inch of snow last night! Crazy! I always get excited about the first snow because it's so pretty. My excitement dies pretty quickly though! ;)

  6. I love running in the cooler weather and even snow, it's so pretty! I would find some wool running socks if you don't already have any as that helps keep my feet from getting cold on me during my runs.

I was happy to see snow flurries in WI yesterday too.

  9. I was visiting my best friend from high school in Syracuse our freshman year when their first snowfall arrived. We were both running around all excited and celebrating the snow. Everyone around us thought we were crazy - people who live in the snow don't act like that. Oh well.

Your girls must be questioning what you've done to their little warm world. Although having a heated blanket is quite an awesome treat.

    Stay warm!

  10. haha this made me laugh so hard. Love the new coats on all three of you. I came home to a boat load of snow in Utah Sunday and I HATE IT. But I am glad you are excited about it....for now. :):)
